Tastes Like Home
Dates: January 26th, 2024 - January 28th, 2024
I took a class called Impact Startup Disco, where we created a startup over the weekend (~40 hours). We had class Friday night and Saturday all day, then pitched to judges, who are individuals in the industry, on Sunday.
The project my team and I worked on is called Tastes Like Home, which is a two-sided marketplace for home cooks and international/exchange students. The idea was for home cooks to make a post on our platform offering seats at their dining room table, making food from their cuisine for students to pay for to bond with their shared culture.
The MVP that I created for this project was Bubble. Please note: this was created in 3 hours — most of the time was toward the research around the business aspects, so it’s not anywhere near my standards, but I thought this would be a fun project to share on my website!
